Self-adhesive stickers

2025-01-15

Self-adhesive label material is also called self-adhesive label material. It is a composite material with paper, film or special material as the surface, adhesive on the back, and silicone protective paper as the base paper.

Due to the variety of coating technologies, self-adhesive materials have different grades. The development direction is from traditional roller coating and blade coating to high-pressure cast coating, so as to maximize the uniformity of coating, avoid the generation of bubbles and pinholes, and ensure the coating quality. However, cast coating technology is not mature in China, and the traditional roller coating is mainly used in China.

Features

The so-called self-adhesive printing is the process of transferring ink and other substances through the printing plate to the surface of the printing material with a pre-coated adhesive layer on the back under a certain pressure. Compared with ordinary printing, self-adhesive has the following characteristics:

Small investment and quick results. Self-adhesive printed products are mostly trademarks and stickers, with small format, fast printing speed and less waste.

Flexible printing method. Self-adhesive labels are not limited by printing methods. Traditional printing plants can use offset printing machines or screen printing machines for printing.

With multiple functions, self-adhesive labels are widely used in food, cosmetics, and barcodes, and can also be used as labels in special environments such as electronic products and mechanical products.

Classification

Self-adhesive labels are roughly divided into two types: one is paper self-adhesive labels, and the other is film self-adhesive labels.

1. Paper self-adhesive labels are mainly used for liquid washing products and popular personal care products; film materials are mainly used for medium and high-end daily chemical products. At present, popular personal care products and household liquid washing products account for a large proportion on the market, so the corresponding paper materials are used more.

2. Film self-adhesive labels often use PE, PP, PVC and other synthetic materials. The film materials are mainly white, matte and transparent. Since the printability of film materials is not very good, they are generally corona treated or coated on the surface to enhance their printability. In order to prevent some film materials from deforming or tearing during printing and labeling, some materials will also undergo directional treatment and be stretched unidirectionally or bidirectionally. For example, bidirectionally stretched BOPP materials are quite common.
