Raise awareness of fire prevention and effectively store sealing tape

2024-10-28

Storing sealing tape is an important issue that both tape manufacturers and consumers need to face. Tape manufacturers store their products in warehouses to meet consumer demand. The tape purchased by consumers will not be used up at once and also needs to be stored in warehouses. Sealing tape is a flammable item, so what are the fire prevention awareness that needs to be paid attention to when storing sealing tape:

1. The warehouse where the sealing tape is stored should be kept ventilated. When the glue mist volatilized by the tape reaches a certain air ratio, it will burn violently once it encounters a fire source;

2. The warehouse should be equipped with regular standard fire-fighting equipment to extinguish the fire in time. Make sure that the location of the fire hose is no more than 50 meters away from the location where the tape is stored and is long enough, and check the water pressure and water volume of the fire hydrant regularly;

3. It is forbidden to pile up the sealing tape at the safety exit. It should be neatly stacked in the warehouse, and each row should leave enough space to prevent water from being spilled in case of fire, so that the internal combustion is not too fierce and the fire cannot be controlled. In addition, please pay attention to keep the location where the tape is stored dry and ventilated, so as to maintain the performance of the tape;

4. Smoking and other possible sources of disasters are explicitly prohibited. It is recommended to post posters with signs such as no smoking and no fire, and this clause should be written into the employee handbook if necessary;

5. When using an automatic tape sealer, the speed of the tape machine should be adjusted to avoid rapid friction causing fire sources.

Fire not only causes serious economic losses, but also poses a threat to personal safety. Therefore, when storing sealing tape, it is necessary to enhance fire prevention awareness and try to minimize the probability of fire.
