How to distinguish the product quality of colored tape?

2024-09-03

Colored tapes are used for marking and masking. There are many beige and khaki products on the market. Colored tapes have colors that come with the film itself, and there are also colors that can be controlled by the glue. It depends on which type of tape product it is for. How to see the thickness of the glue: pinch the tape tightly and then pull it apart quickly. You can pull off one side of the glue to see the purity and transparency of the original film. If the glue is pulled apart or pulled apart in dots, this type of glue contains certain impurities because of factors such as low cohesion or poor cohesion. Another factor is that the glue contains too many water molecules and has evaporated. At this time, the initial adhesion of the tape has decreased, and the feel can also be distinguished.

For example: the yellow tape has good masking and strong viscosity when applied to an object, and the quality of the tape product is better. The darker the color of the whole roll of tape is compared in appearance, the higher the light transmittance of the tape after it is pulled apart. The color of the whole roll of good tape is not much different from the color of the strip after it is pulled apart. The reason is: good tape has strong masking properties and there is no color overlap.

For example, when looking at the surface of the tape, there will be bubbles or very few bubbles when the tape is just stripped into finished products, but the bubbles will basically disappear after being placed, and the surface of the tape is flat without any white spots. The tape mixed with impurities has irregularly distributed white spots, which cannot be dispersed by hand, which is completely different from the effect of bubbles.
